About Us

We are a charitable, non-political, non-denominational, locally funded organization formed to help all persons who are experiencing a crisis pregnancy. ​Our goal is to help each woman understand her pregnancy options, make an informed choice, and provide encouragement and support through education, counseling and aid.
Meet the Staff

  2. Dr. Bruce Deckinga
    Medical Director
    Dr. Deckinga received his Bachelor's at Calvin College, and his M.D. at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He went on to do his Surgical Internship at the University of Florida and his Surgical Residency at the University of Iowa. He is also an Air Force veteran. He has been retired from formal practice for 10 years and so far has utilized his extra time to participate in 35 mission trips around the world. He also enjoys spending his extra time with his wife of 50 years, four children, and 6 grandchildren.
  3. Amy Fettig
    Center Administrator
    Amy is happily married to Eric who she declares is, "the best Hubby ever." She has a 16 year old son David who horseback rides, 2 older brothers (along with 2 wonderful sister-in-laws!) and 3 cats, Tazzy, Calvin and Autumn. She received her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University. Amy is a diehard Wolverines fan and can be found supporting them all year round usually wearing something that is blue and yellow. Amy's favorite aspects of working at the P.C.C. are the clients, the volunteers, as well as our center babies who she is purposefully indoctrinating with "Michigan pride."
  4. Dr. Cynthia Statler
    Ultrasound Technician
    Dr. Statler is a Michigander at heart! She grew up just north of Detroit, earned her Bachelor and medical degrees at M.S.U., did her pediatric residency at Devos Children's Hospital. Although she has lived in Northern Michigan for 20 years, only her two daughters ( 20 and 17) are Petoskey natives. Dr. Statler works at our local Teen Drug Court (Emmet and Charlevoix Family/Probate Court) as well as being Medical Director at Michigan Therapeutic Consultants (Methadone clinic) in Gaylord. She LOVES to travel (missionary and leisure), enjoys a variety of crafts, and can otherwise be found on local beaches seeking keepsake rocks.
  5. Gail
    Clinical Nurse Manager
    Gail is a registered nurse with a range of experience in Maternal/Child health, Surgical Services, Acute Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular, Neurology Surgery as well as experience in NICU and ICU. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing at St. Louis University. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Science from Michigan Technological University as well as several other certifications. Gail has 2 sons and loves dogs, specifically Golden Retrievers. Gail is naturally inquisitive and loves the outdoors. You can often find her in the woods (during all 4 seasons), beach combing, canoeing the Bear River, sailing on the Great Lakes or skiing. In the past Gail has given of her time as her church's Financial Secretary, as a ski instructor with Minnesota Outward Bound School, as an assistant varsity Ski Coach. One neat fact about Gail is that she used to be a Ski Racer!
  6. Andrea Coston
    Board Member & Volunteer Marketing
    As an adoptee Andrea has a specific passion for what she does here at the P.C.C. She has been involved with the P.C.C. since childhood. She is married with three children ages 5, 3 and 1 and they have one wiener dog. Andrea and Matt hope to adopt more children in the future when she has a small amount of sanity restored. She received her degree in Intercultural Studies and Marketing Communications through Indiana Wesleyan University. She has also worked with Youth with a Mission and been involved in several mission trips across the world. Andrea's favorite things are people, coffee, yarn, impromptu dance parties, outdoor activities and anything creative.
