It’s Your Choice
The most important thing to remember before making any decision about your unplanned pregnancy is that this is your choice. You have a few options to choose from, and many people in your life may want or need to weigh in, but at the end of the day, it’s your decision to make and live with.
We’re here to help provide education and support so you fully understand all of your options and can make the decision that’s right for you.
Parenting
For many women and couples, an unplanned pregnancy may not have been welcome news but after taking time to consider, they choose to parent. Know that if you choose this option, you won't be alone. Parenting is challenging even for people who were planning on it, and we can help provide resources and support if parenting feels like the right choice for you.
Adoption
Adoption is one option many women consider for their unplanned pregnancies. This option is most appealing to people who feel they aren't ready to be a parent but are uncomfortable with abortion. We'll help you understand the ins and outs of the adoption process and make recommendations and referrals if this is a route you'd like to go.
Abortion
Abortion is an elective medical procedure, so it is imperative that you receive informed and accurate information about this pregnancy option. During a Pregnancy Options Consult our staff is willing and able to discuss the different types of abortion procedures with you and the risks associated with each. Although the Pregnancy Care Center of Petoskey does not perform abortions or offer abortion referrals, we are here to help answer all of your questions regarding your sexual health, STI's, pregnancy, adoption, abortion and parenting, in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Consultations are always free & confidential.
